A Block Club or neighborhood group are neighbors who have come together in order to make their neighborhood a better place to live. Block Clubs may be just one block long, or it may cover a larger area - whatever makes sense in that particular neighborhood
Block Clubs are the best tool for fighting crime in your neighborhood. They help neighbors get to know each other and build stronger communities. An organized Block Club provides a way for neighbors to work together to address their concerns and to help each other out. Block Clubs can be active without meeting very often. While some clubs meet monthly, others may only get together once a year. It all depends on what you and your neighbors want to do.
The area the encompasses the West 7th Street/Fort Road Federation is home to many active and engage neighborhood groups and block clubs. Or you may find there is a need to start of group in your neighborhood.
For information on active groups or to start a block club or neighborhood group, contact the Federation at 651-298-5599 or fortroadfed@fortroadfederation.org.

The Brewery Neighborhood Block Club is a residential-only block club and represents the boundaries of Grace, Colborne, Palace, and West 7th. This area was one of the first settled areas in St. Paul, and the neighborhood has reinvented itself time and time again over the past 150 years. With breathtaking views of the Mississippi River and the historic Schmidt Brewery, there is a mix of beautifully restored 19th century homes (including the historic Funk Mansion) and newly constructed townhomes. In 2003, the Federation was awarded the Smart Growth Award for the successful Brewery Neighborhood project. Most recently, a $120 million redevelopment of the Schmidt Brewery has us welcoming our newest neighbors, living at the Schmidt Artist Lofts.
