Stay connected at home (internet service) - Ramsey Connected is an initiative designed so all Ramsey County residents can have low-cost internet and computers and the skills to use them. Ramsey County believes the internet is a basic need and low-cost tool that should be available to all residents. While Ramsey County is not an internet service provider, we serve as a connector and partner through our Ramsey Connected program. Transforming Families Minnesota offers confidential support meetings for parents of transgender children: Transforming Families is a community where transgender, gender non-conforming, and questioning youth and their families come together to support each other in a safe, welcoming space. Transforming Families offers confidential peer-support meetings for trans youth and their families. The organization aims to provide an affirming place to talk through situations, emotions, and questions, whether difficult, joyful, or anything in between. Meetings take place at a variety of locations in Minnesota, such as Saint Paul, Mahtomedi, Minneapolis, Eagan and online. More details are available on the organization's private Facebook group and in monthly newsletters. Transit Assistance: The Transit Assistance Program (TAP) is designed to make public transit more affordable for people with lower incomes. TAP provides a year-long reduced fare pass on a Go-To Card. Customers can use a bus or train for just $1 per ride – even during rush hour – with a 2½ hour transfer. Signing up for the program is quick and easy. Do it straight from your computer or phone by uploading one of the pre-approved documents listed at https://www.metrotransit.org/tap-riders along with a copy of your I.D. Community Alternative Response Emergency Services (CARES) - An Alternative Emergency Response to Mental Health Crisis and Behavioral Emergencies. The CARES Team responds to non-violent mental health crisis and behavioral emergencies within the City of Saint Paul. CARES responds to calls citywide on weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
